Although spread over 25 long years, Pankow have certainly had an active career. In 1988 they stun Europe with the release of "Freiheit für die Sklaven", and two years later further confirm their talent with the release of the incredible "Gisela". Soon after, a live album, "Onme Animal Triste Post Coitum", is released with tracks recorded in the USA and all over Europe, followed by the controversial and beautiful "Treue Hunde". Alex's departure for Australia brings everything to a halt, and the self-titled "Pankow" is released, an episode condemned even by the band itself.  |
