Panic formed in the winter of 2001. Two bands at the verge of falling apart instead joined to form one - the result was a show at Mass Art in Boston on March 30th, where they were booked under the name of one of the former bands. The announcement was made that the old band was dead, and Panic began. A demo shortly followed recorded by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios in Amherst on a chilly day that spring.
