The second Abassi All Stars album comes after the successful release of the vocal album 'Showcase' in 2006. 'Dub Showcase' features dubs of 16 different rhythms with great instrumental variety and was recorded and mixed by neil perch in the Zion Train studio in Cologne during 2004-2006. It is a long time since a dub album has featured such beautiful musicianship and dubwise mixing dexterity such as this one does and the release reminds one of classic albums of the genre such as Sound Iration's seminal 1990 releases and On U Sounds 'Pounding System'. This 10" features two rhythms - the No Answer rhythm has vocal versions by Omar Perry (son of Scratch) and the Jamaican legend, Carlton Livingston backed up by a perch dub of the rhythm. The second rhythm features the vocal talents of Minoo in a disco mix style presentation with the vocal cut spliced directly into a dub cut of this second rhythm. This 10" release is a limited edition release as always on Deep Root.
